With the launch of our brand new natural WHEY protein powder this week, we thought we'd treat you to a recipe that allows you to make your own low carb protein bars with our WHEY.

My inspiration for this week's recipe comes from the delicious, all-natural RXBar. Whilst they make for a great protein snack every now and then, there's no doubt that they're a little expensive. So with that said, my test for the week was to create our own Primal version and hallelujah, they were a success!

 By using only 4 ingredients, I was able to create a delicious peanut butter protein bar flavour that's sugar-free (refined sugar, that is) and contains a decent amount of protein - more than 15g a bar, in fact! 

These bars are not only soft and chewy, but they're most probably 10x healthier than your current protein bar! Remember, just because it's a protein bar it doesn't necessarily mean that they're healthy. Don't believe us? Go check the ingredients now... 

Whether you're making these as a post-workout treat or not, don't be fooled into thinking that they're not for everyone. Thanks to our natural WHEY, these bars can be suitable for anyone - fitness goers or not!

Add all of your ingredients into a food processor and whizz together until everything has blended into a thick paste. If, after blending, you find your mixture a little crumbly, then add a little more honey until it becomes slightly sticky.

Pop your mixture into a rectangle/square baking tray and firmly flatten the mixture. It's really important that you flatten the mixture into the tray otherwise it won't set properly. Pop your mixture into the freezer for an hour to set.

Once set, use a sharp knife to cut your protein dough into 10 even sized bars. To keep, store in an airtight container and place them in the freezer/fridge.
