These healthy, keto and paleo chocolate cups are filled with a delicious and natural peanut butter centre. A simple no bake goodie perfect for all chocolate and nut butter lovers.
Nothing screams love more than a homemade treat, and with Valentine's Day fast approaching, these healthy chocolate peanut butter cups are the perfect treat.
Not only are these chocolate cups dairy-free, but they're also free from refined sugar too. To make your chocolate keto friendly, you'll need our Primal coconut oil
, cacao powder and some organic honey. That's it.
As for the centre, you'll need a jar of your favourite natural peanut butter - or if you feel like it, make your own using our Slender Blender Pro
- which will be scooped into the centre of each chocolate cup.
Seeing as this is a no bake recipe, you'll need to pop your chocolate cups into the freezer. But don't worry, that's the great thing about this recipe! Once your cups have hardened, they almost turn into a chocolate fudge like batter.
I like to consider these chocolate peanut butter cups a fat bomb treat as they're packed full of healthy fats thanks to the coconut oil, cacao powder and natural peanut butter. It also means they're great as an energy booster too.

Tips for making your Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups
Taste test: I find everyone has different opinions on their love for dark chocolate and, because we're using cacao powder, you may find the suggested measurements a little too bitter for you. If you love your chocolate a little sweet, then add an extra tbsp of honey to the chocolate mix. But if you're a dark chocolate fan like me, then the suggested measurements should work just fine.
Coconut oil: this recipe works best with coconut oil and I don't recommend swapping it out for any other oil such as olive oil. Don't forget, you can grab our Primal coconut oil here.
Natural ingredients: To ensure your chocolate peanut butter cups are as healthy as possible, I suggest checking the labels on your ingredients. Don't be fooled, you can still buy organic honey with added ingredients that aren't so good for you. As for the peanut butter, make sure you grab a natural tub with no sugar or palm oil - just 100% nuts!
Leave to cool: once you've mixed your chocolate ingredients together, take the pan of the hob and leave to cool completely before popping in the freezer. Also, let the chocolate freeze completely before adding a tablespoon of peanut butter to each cup. It'll not only sit better, but it'll look better too.
Keto Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups Recipe
Prep time: 10 mins
Freeze time: 1 hour
- 3/4 cup melted coconut oil
- 1/2 cup cacao powder
- 2 tbsp organic honey
- Pinch of salt
- 7 tbsp smooth peanut butter
- Whisk the coconut oil, cacao powder, honey and salt together.
- Fill a regular size muffin tin with muffin cups. Add 2 tablespoons (tbsp) of cacao mixture to each cup.
- Drop a tablespoon of peanut butter into the centre of each cup on top of the chocolate mixture.
- Add 2 more tablespoons to each cup (on top of the peanut butter). Push the peanut butter down if you need to.
- Pop the muffin tray into the freezer and freeze for one hour until solid. Enjoy!
