Niacin, also referred to as Nicotinic Acid, is an organic compound essential for the human body. Primarily used to treat high cholesterol and Vitamin deficiency, it can also be an effective antidote to cardiovascular disease.

Better known as Vitmain B3 because it was the third B Vitamin to be discovered, it helps convert carbohydrates into glucose for energy production. Niacin also improves blood circulation to reduce the effects of inflammation.

People with Vitamin B3 deficiency suffer from indigestion, fatigue, vomiting, poor circulation and even depression. A nutritionally balanced diet from foods such as beetroot, beef liver, salmon, swordfish, sunflower seeds and peanuts can provide us with Vitamin B3 in ample amounts.
