Green coffee bean, also known as Coffea L, is one of the most popular weight loss supplements to date. The supplement is extracted from green coffee beans and contains Chlorogenic acid which has been argued to help reduce blood sugar levels, act as a treatment to those suffering with diabetes and as stated above, help promote weight loss.

Green coffee beans are the same as regular coffee beans – just non-roasted. However, when the green coffee beans are then roasted, they lose most of their chlorogenic acid and pretty much become a regular cup of coffee, rather than a supplement. Some studies suggest that the chlorogenic acid found in the beans can help promote weight loss because the acid reduces the absorption of carbohydrates from the digestive tract and ultimately lowers blood sugar levels and insulin spikes. On top of that it’s also argued that it can reduce body weight, fat and improve the function of the fat burning hormone. This is only shown from the study perfumed on mice and rats, however.

Besides it’s popularity for weight loss and helping curb people’s appetites, green bean extract has many other health benefits such as maintaining a healthy heart, protecting against neurological diseases and increasing anti-aging effects associated to living a longer and healthier life.
